RANDY 6
2019
WARNING!
Randy 6 attempts to transcribe the flowing of time in different social groups. The movement, in split seconds, extends into infinity, configurating into transparent flows of colours and lines among the dimensions; Imaginery brushstrokes formed by the impression of the place; A slowly rotating fur-brush roller and a noteless cloth scroll. The device serves as the mediater for the transcription, delivering motions of the environment and the sketches of time.
Randy 6 has had two versions so far: Scratching Surface, exhibited at Tamsui Customs Wharf, and Outline, exhibited at Taipei City Arts Promotion Office.
As a collaboration with artist Peng Si-Qi, ‘Extracting Plant Colours Workshop’ invites the public to extract colours from plants from their surrounding environment and subsequently use them to draw on postcards and the paper scroll of Scratching Surface.
